This work presents a number-theoretic no-go theorem for fundamental ontic positions. Under a minimal set of assumptions concerning physical states, positional representation, and numerical coordinatizability, it shows that definite ontic positions lead to a structural inconsistency in the admissible set of numerical positional values. The result is independent of quantum-mechanical dynamics, uncertainty relations, and any particular measurement theory.
